My favorite wines are Rhône style blends for the wonderful range of diverse flavors they produce. I admire how the region makes wine - field blending with 13 different varietals. It’s impressive. But of all the Chateau’s I’ve ever Neuf’d, Châteauneuf-du-Pape is the papiest.

My favorite wine is Sauvignon Blanc because I like the cool, refreshing taste. Why I like to drink it… it tastes like green apples, grapefruit, lemon and a hint of honey. These are a few of my favorite things. So why not drink it!

Favorite? You mean pick ONE wine??… Why would someone ever do that to themselves?! I’m prone to a full bodied red - Barbera, Zin, and I won’t say Chateauneuf since the big guy already said that. A spicy Zin, or a Barbera with a strong finish - that’s my wheelhouse. But to be honest, I’m also a regular drinker of Pinot Noir and our Grenache, as well. Especially so when I’m enjoying a glass in the afternoon and looking for a lighter body wine without sacrificing taste.

While attending college in the breathtaking County of Sonoma, falling in love with wine was a prerequisite to graduate. Since the day I turned 21 (okay fine, maybe shortly before then), frequenting the abundant wine country became one of my favorite things to do. It wasn’t long until I discovered Dry Creek Valley and my love affaire with the perfectly bold, rich, and distinct Zinfandel was born. I find that as I expand my palette and explore new wines, my heart still belongs to Zin.
